Greenleaves Organisationfor Street Kids(Glosk) is welcomings Boys and Girls in search of a better way of life... an opportunity of a lifetime.

Youth(ages 4-16) who come to live at Glosk are choosing a more positive direction in life. They seek security, stability, guidance, the chance to succed in school and an opportunity to change.

Our century-old mission is to transform lives of pain and despair into lives of hope and promise by providing a nurturing home, healing for families, the means for personal growth, and, above all,God's Glosk in action.

That's what we do-and it works best when everyone involved works together. Through partnerships with family members, teachers and professional child care staff,Glosk project learn to deal with their problems, experience emotional growth and,as a result, are able to unlock their full potential.

The focus of our treatment program is to help adolescents and some times their families overcome struggle in their life and get on the road of independence.
Many of the Street children come from broken homes, abusive backgrounds, have been in trouble with their own families because of hunger and poverty, negleted, struggle with mental illness or chemical dependency, and in some cases, have no family to go to.
Our aknowledgement goes directly to the Waterloo North Presbyterian Church in Canada, represented by Mr.Terrance Douglas Smith, the Co-ordinator of Refugees Assistance Program.
We wish to see you also among us in any kind of help this project. Your involvement will be of great appreciation.

Thanks to thousands of benefactors throughtout the world, our staff, our board and volunteers who generously give of their time and talents,Greenleaves Organisation for Street Kids is able to help make possible the miracles that occur when a youth person grows.

MAT 25:31-46

Terry Douglas Smith and Isidor Ndala Kashiba,
The initiators.

We all have important values and ideas, things we care about and want to share. Sometimes we feel our ideas can even change the world, and we want to let other people know how they can join in and make all our lives better. The children that struggle to survive along Cairo Road(main road of Lusaka) are orphans and other people living under conditions that provide little opportunity to become educated, safe, productive and healthful members of Zambian society.
Many of the orphans are on the street because parents have dieds of AIDS and relatives are too poor to support them after the death of father and mother.
The situation is so desperate that Glosk alone cannot do anything but with your contribution we can go very far and do the best.

This site will present our organization's cause or ideas to the world. As communicating isn't always easy, we'll try to include photos and images that convey our message. We'll also include specific information about our organization and its members, so no one forgets the people behind the pictures.

On this home page, we'll introduce our cause or message. We'll also try to include a picture or two that represents the kind of work we do.
